How to Improve the Quality of Education?

High-quality education is of prime importance for everyone. It helps students develop a wholesome perspective of the world and gives them the necessary knowledge to pursue their dreams. Schools and parents alike are constantly trying to provide the best for their students.

Recently, the World Bank has approved USD 500 million (Approx. Rs 3,700 crore) to improve overall quality and governance of school education in six Indian states of Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Rajasthan. There are more incentives and financial opportunities that are being created for schools to improve.

What are some ways you can improve your School?

1. Introduce Technology

The modern teacher is looking for new ways to engage with their students must be innovative and explore using technologies that appeal to the students. This does not necessarily mean large investments in screens and devices. Instead, teachers can use videos, digital games, free online resources, and digital tools that can be easily integrated into the classrooms. This can make it a more engaging and interactive learning environment for students.

2. Better Infrastructure

The infrastructure in private schools is not only functional but also of high quality. The school framework includes classrooms, toilets, libraries, computer labs, and reading corners among others. Ensuring students have access to proper infrastructure, provides a conducive learning environment for them. On the flip side, better infrastructure also provides teachers more options to introduce new ways of engaging students and increasing the scope of learning.

3. Quality of Teaching and Teachers

A Teacher and their method of teaching are directly responsible for a kindling a student’s interest in the subject. Most often the success of a student is also dependent on these factors, hence due attention should be paid to imparting high-quality training for teachers. Giving them the necessary technological resources can also help maximize the quality of instruction while providing professional development. Another important aspect that teachers need to take note of is the ability to be patient and caring with students.

4. Give kids a space for learning

In the traditional education system, the teacher often give lessons without giving kids an opportunity to discover things on their own, developing their skills. The teacher should give some space for kids to study new things and observe the entire process of studying to give some help if needed. Introducing unique study challenges or pop quizzes can also push the students to get out of the comfort zone and explore. This method is great for creative thinking development.
